Civil Nuclear Security Vetting Procedures
andBS7858 Security Screening
COURSE OVERVIEW
Employees are often cited as a company’s greatest asset. But how well do you know your employees, especially new recruits who are about to join the company? Getting it wrong at this point could be detrimental to your company. Pre-employment interviewing may find a person who appears to be right for the job, but is there sufficient information to enable a proper decision to be made about their engagement?
Pre-employment Screening is the process of looking at specific aspects of an individual’s character and suitability for employment. BS 7858:2012 is the code of practice for screening developed by the British Standards Institution, used widely in the security industry, and is now applicable to and being adopted by many other business sectors.
Individuals working in posts involving access to or knowledge or custody of Nuclear Material, Sensitive Nuclear Information and assets must have the appropriate level of assurance and security clearance. Individuals are required to have completed security vetting to the required level prior to access to the aforementioned. This course is designed for those individuals who have the task of security vetting or reviewing the screening of job applicants in the Civil Nuclear Industry. It ensures the learner is able to articulate and understand the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) Civil Nuclear Personnel Security Standard upon returning to their workplace. The course is designed and maintained by experienced Civil Nuclear Industry Security Vetting Officers which ensures you have relevant, accurate and the latest information from those who actually do the job and understand the complications and expected standards.
Our Civil Nuclear Security Vetting Procedures and BS7858 Security Screening course has been specifically developed by experienced Civil Nuclear Security Vetting Officers to ensure the training is accurate, informative and helpful for existing or incumbent Civil Nuclear Vetting Officers.
