First Aid At Work

First Aid At Work

Our three day First Aid at Work is a comprehensive course which complies with the current Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations. Employers are legally obliged to ensure First Aid provision for their employees and this is the most common qualification used by organisations.

The qualification covers knowledge such as the roles and responsibilities of the first aider, how to assess an incident and recognising signs and symptoms of injury and illness. The qualification also covers first aid skills in CPR and use of an AED and assisting a casualty who is suffering from major injury and illness such as chest injuries, spinal injuries and anaphylaxis.

The course is delivered by experienced medical trainers (that include special forces medics, state registered paramedics and emergency services medics), to provide you with a unique learning experience.

All successful students will be issued with a First Aid at Work Certificate, along with a wallet-sized plastic card detailing their qualification which is valid for a period of 3 years.

This qualification consists of two mandatory units, which learners must complete successfully in order to achieve the qualification:

  • Emergency First Aid in the Workplace
  • Recognition and Management of Illness and Injury in the Workplace

The assessment process is by:

Practical observation

The practical assessment of learners for the qualification is completed throughout the course delivery.

This ongoing assessment will involve learners demonstrating practical first aid skills across a number of areas.

Written/oral questioning
Learners are required to answer the questions within an assessment pack.

This 3 day course, delivered at our dedicated training facilities throughout the UK, but can also be delivered at your premises for group bookings.
